About Me

After finishing a Bachelor of Journalism, I decided that I didn't like the local job options available in my field. Instead, I turned to retail in the hopes of gaining some management experience before I moved to a Big City.

I am now working at The Body Shop and as a result have made two startling discoveries:
1) I am not just a quirky nerd, I am girly girl.
2) Yes, you can be both.

These two simple facts, plus the itching need to maintain my writing skills, have led me to start this blog, so I can share my discoveries with other girl-geeks who just want to feel pretty.

Finally, I feel I should offer some disclaimers:

1) While I am trained in basic beauty care, I am not a qualified beautician. I am offering advice, but I take no responsibility for anything you might do as a result of said advice. Use your common sense, people.

2) I work at The Body Shop, so most of the products I use and recommend are from there, but that's because a) I have easy access to them, b) I am familiar with them and c) if I'm recommending it, it's because it's worked for me. This blog is in no way endorsed by or affiliated with The Body Shop, and all views and opinions contained here are my own.

3) I play World of Warcraft, so most of my posts will contain gaming references, specifically things like my grading system (e.g. cast times, skill levels etc). If you have a problem with that, find another blog to read.
